Work With A Plan

Developing good work and personal planning habits is crucial to our success. If you stop to analyze successful people, you will realize they have anticipated, and taken advantage of, many of the opportunities that have come their way. They have prepared and they have a plan. Start preparing by figuring out where you are now and where you'd like to be in the future—begin your action plan.

Your action plan: what to consider What you are doing now. What you will realistically be able to do in the future. What you're good at and enjoy doing. What you will do to adapt to changing conditions. What your actual chance of success are (on a scale of 1-10). The best way to stay on track with your plan is to use time management techniques to stay focused. Create monthly, weekly and daily schedules, and consolidate and prioritize your tasks. Then, be prepared to have your schedule turned upside down by forces beyond your control. To be flexible, you must also understand change and devise strategies to adjust to it.
